Journal of Scientia Technologiae (JST) plagiarism is explicitly prohibited. The Turnitin plagiarism checker is used to evaluate the similarity of a manuscript against other published sources. Editors will review the similarity results to determine possible cases of plagiarism, and a similarity report may be requested from authors when necessary.

The following actions may be taken by the Editorial Board:

  1. Similarity Index Above 40%

In this case, the manuscript will be rejected due to poor paraphrasing, excessive quotation, or clear indications of plagiarism, resulting in outright rejection.

  1. Similarity Index Between 20–40%

In this case, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision. Authors are required to improve paraphrasing and provide proper citations for all similar content.

  1. Similarity Index Below 20%

Minor corrections or citation improvements may still be required. All sourced content must be properly cited according to academic writing standards.

In the second and third categories, authors must carefully revise their manuscripts, especially in sections involving quotations, paraphrasing, and cited material.

A Turnitin similarity report showing no plagiarism concerns or a similarity index below 20% is required during the submission evaluation process.

All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Scientia Technologiae (JST) are screened for plagiarism prior to entering the peer-review process to ensure originality, academic integrity, and compliance with ethical scholarly publishing standards.
