Plagiarism Policy
Journal of Lex et Justitia (JLJ), published by Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa, plagiarism is explicitly interdicted. The Turnitin plagiarism checker will be used to evaluate the similarity of a manuscript to other sources. Editors will follow up on the results to determine possible cases of plagiarism, and a similarity report may be provided to the authors.
The following are some of the actions taken by the Editorial Board, including:
- Similarity index above 40%
In this case, the article will be rejected due to poor paraphrasing, excessive quotation, or indications of plagiarism, resulting in outright rejection. - Similarity index within 20–40%
In this case, the manuscript will be returned to the author for correction and revision. Authors are required to provide appropriate citations for similar content and improve paraphrasing in quoted or overlapping sections. - Similarity index less than 20%
Minor corrections or citation improvements may still be required, and all sourced text must be properly cited according to academic writing standards.
In the second and third cases, authors must carefully revise the manuscript, especially in sections involving quotations and paraphrasing.
When examining submitted manuscripts, there must be a Turnitin similarity report showing no plagiarism concerns or a similarity index below 20%.
All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Lex et Justitia (JLJ) are screened for plagiarism before entering the peer-review process to ensure originality, academic integrity, and ethical scholarly publication standards.
