Peer Review Process

The peer review process is an essential part of ensuring the quality and integrity of the research published in Journal of Communicatio Et Cultura (JCC) (E-ISSN: 3124-2626). Our rigorous review process aims to provide authors with constructive feedback to improve their work and to ensure the publication of high-quality research.
All journals under Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa adopt a double-blind, or double-anonymous, peer-review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process.
Submission and Initial Evaluation
All manuscripts submitted to journals under Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa undergo an initial evaluation by the editorial team to assess their suitability, originality, and compliance with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, and submission requirements.
Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are assigned a unique identification number for further processing. The Editor-in-Chief will screen each submitted manuscript to ensure its conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as its compliance with basic submission standards. Based on the manuscript’s scientific field, the Editor-in-Chief may assign an editor or section editor to handle the manuscript during the review process.
Peer Review
Each eligible manuscript is sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, professional experience, research background, and prior contributions to the related discipline.
In cases where reviewers provide significantly different or conflicting recommendations, additional reviewers may be appointed to provide a more comprehensive and balanced evaluation.
Double-Blind Review
Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa ensures that all journals under its management apply a double-blind peer-review process. In this system, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.
This review model is intended to maintain objectivity, fairness, and academic neutrality in the manuscript evaluation process, while minimizing potential bias related to the authors’ identity, affiliation, institution, or background.
Review Criteria
Reviewers are requested to evaluate submitted manuscripts based on several criteria, including scientific quality, originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, clarity of presentation, methodological soundness, contribution to the field, and adherence to publication ethics.
Reviewers are also encouraged to provide constructive comments, recommendations, and suggestions to help authors improve the quality, clarity, and scholarly contribution of their manuscripts.
Review Duration
Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa strives to maintain a timely and efficient peer review process across all journals. Reviewers are usually given a specific timeframe to complete their evaluation.
Authors will be informed about the estimated review duration during the submission process or after any significant revision stage. However, the review period may vary depending on the manuscript’s complexity, reviewer availability, and editorial considerations.
Decision and Revision
After the peer review process is completed, the editorial team considers the reviewers’ comments, recommendations, and overall assessment. Authors will receive an editorial decision, which may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
If revisions are required, authors are expected to respond to all reviewers’ comments thoroughly and submit a revised manuscript within the stipulated timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the editorial team or returned to reviewers when necessary.
Editorial Decision
The final decision regarding the publication of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the Editorial Board of the respective journal.
The editorial team carefully considers the reviewers’ evaluations, the originality of the work, its relevance to the journal’s scope, its academic contribution, and its compliance with ethical publication standards before making a final decision.
Confidentiality
Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa maintains strict confidentiality throughout the peer review process. Reviewers are required to treat manuscripts and their contents as confidential documents.
Reviewers must not disclose, discuss, distribute, or use any information from the manuscript for personal advantage or unauthorized purposes before publication.
Review Process Improvement
Publisher Karya Grafindo Prima Perkasa is committed to continuously improving the quality, efficiency, and fairness of its peer review process.
